Man, oh, man, our Vox members are so creative and talented. All of us around Six Apart were amazed by the quality and variations of the coloring contest entries. In fact, since it was so difficult to only pick three winners out of the over 200 entries, we’ve expanded the number of people who’ve “placed” and had to call out a number of honorable mentions.
Cue drum roll…
First, the honorable mentions:

Years ago I used to run coloring contests on my personal weblog, dollarshort.org. I would upload a graphic for people to color in using their preferred paint program and then pick a winner or two and send them some sort of prize. Here's an example of the results of one contest I held.
A couple weeks ago Flickr held their own coloring contest and I was immediately whisked back into 2001 when coloring reigned supreme over at my blog.
What's that have to do with Vox, you may ask? Well, we mentioned that we were going to have some sort of contest to give out invites and we've decided to make it a coloring contest!
Here's your coloring challenge
- Download this graphic, color it in, decorate it -- make it look good and be creative.
- Upload the image and tag your entry "vox coloring contest" and we'll find your entries. We'll be judging on Friday, August 4th so get those entries in!
- Reap the spoils of victory!
We'll pick three winners who'll each get 20 Vox invites deposited into their accounts. Additionally, we'll send them a little pack of Vox schwag in the postal mail.
Everyone who enters (and correctly tags their entry) will get 2 invites as well. So everyone wins.
