Here at Six Apart (that's Vox's parent company), we've been gearing up for the AIDS Walk in San Francisco on Sunday, July 15th. It's a 10K walk through our gorgeous Golden Gate park, so we're gingerly stretching our Achilles tendons and doing our best to raise funds before the big day comes.
If any of y'all want to show your support, there are two ways to do it:
- Participate! If you're in the San Francisco area and want to walk with us, sign up on the Six Apart team! We'll work out a meeting time and place closer to the date. It'll be fun, it's for a good cause, and there might be some Vox goodies in it for you.
- Donate! You can go to the Six Apart team page and make your donation online, or print out a form and mail in your check. If you'd like to donate in the name of a specific team member, just click through to their page. (Mine's right here. Just sayin'.)

Bay Area Vox Meetup
Bay area Voxers had a great time this past Friday night at a meetup organized by electric firefly. We all met at Brick House in San Francisco for food, drinks, conversation and exchanges like:
- "Hi I'm Steve."
- "Hello." [smile, handshake]
- "You know, Pants Party."
- "OH HI!" [big hug]
or...
Deborah's name tag stickers were really helpful, as they displayed each Voxer's Vox name and member pic! Our Vox World Tour winners Kristen and CupCate were both in town so it was a special treat for everyone. (You still have time to help build their trip itineraries in the Vox World Tour group!) All the fun culminated in relocating to Annie's Social Club for some serious karaoke.- "I just met Cate, she's so awesome!"
- "CupCate or Kiss Me Cate?"
- "Well...both of them!"
Check out the Bay Area Vox Meetup group for a slew of photos and posts about the meetup.
Honolulu, Hawaii Meetup
It's set for Friday, April 27th @ 7:00 pm at Ryan's Grill in Ward Center. RSVP to this post if you're attending, and thanks to Miss Scotch and spooktastic for organizing it!
Paris Meetup
Our friends at Team Vox France have organized a nice party for Voxers on March 31st from 1:00-6:00 pm. They're inviting Voxers to join them on a péniche
at the Baleine Blanche at the Port de la Gare in the 13th District
where they'll celebrate the theme of the "French touch" with French
music, food, wine and more. They'll also announce the winner of their Vox Banner Contest.
If you'll be in Paris and would like to attend, please send a private message to their events blog with your full name and email address.
Join the Meetup Group!
To keep all this meetup goodness in one place, we started the Vox meetup group.
Join it to organize and keep track of meetups in your area, and also to
see photos & posts of your fellow Voxers hanging out in person.
Meetup attendees, please cross post to this group!
As always, if you have any questions about meetups, just send me a message.
Thanks to the planning of Voxer electric firefly, we're really excited to announce a meetup for Bay Area Voxers!
Friday, March 16
7 p.m.
at Brickhouse
426 Brannan St., San Francisco, CA 94107
This meetup is open to anyone who'd like to come. A bunch of us Team Vox members will be there with some other Six Aparters and our lovely Vox World Tour winners Kristen and Cate too!
Please RSVP by commenting to this post if you can make it, so we'll know how big of a box o' Vox goodies we need to bring.
If you're not in San Francisco and you'd like to set up a Vox meetup in your own city, it's simple. I outlined some basic information in this post, and feel free to send me a private message if you're interested in setting one up or if you have any questions.
Have a great weekend everyone!

With the launch of Vox last fall, we announced the Vox World Tour promotion with two (2) Grand Prizes of an all expense paid trip for two to see and experience the three cities where Vox was born: San Francisco, Paris and Tokyo!
The winners are going to be announced this week, so in preparation we've created the Vox World Tour group. Have you ever visited or lived in San Francisco, Paris or Tokyo? If so, join the group and help build the winners' itineraries by sharing some of your photos, posts and videos from those three cities. When the winners are announced, they'll be able to see and read all your recommendations for their trips. And when the winners go on their trips, we'll ask them to share their own photos and videos with the group too.
Tune in later this week for the big announcement!
