How many great photos have you taken that were never seen by anyone but you?
We're guessing quite a few. Whether you just don't have the time to upload your photos to your computer and then post them to your blog, or are dissatisfied with the quality of your camera phone, there's never been a way to quickly and easily send great photographs straight to your blog.
Until now.
Using the Eye-Fi Wireless Memory Card, now any digital camera can send photos directly to your Vox blog.
You don't need a computer or a camera phone - just an Eye-Fi card and a Wi-Fi network. That's right: You can wirelessly post photos from home, work, the airport, a coffee shop... anywhere the Eye-Fi card can connect to a previously configured Wi-Fi network. Photos can even be transferred right as you're taking them! So, whatever you capture with your camera - whether it's a husband and wife's first kiss or an epic jump in the snowboard park - with the Eye-Fi card, you'll always be the first to share your photos and memories with your Vox neighborhood.
How Does It Work?
The Eye-Fi Card is a wireless card with 2 GB of memory and the built-in technology to send photos directly to both your computer and your Vox blog. The 2 GB of memory means you can store thousands of photos, while the built-in technology means you'll never forget to post another photo again. Plus, the Eye-Fi card also works with other photo sharing and printing sites like Flickr and Photobucket. Since Vox has conduits with both of those services, you'll never have to upload twice, or waste valuable storage space.
Learn more about adding photos to Vox with Eye-Fi in the Vox Knowledge Base.
At Vox, we want to make it as easy as possible for you to blog whatever you want, whenever you want, from wherever you want. We really hope that by making the Eye-Fi Card available for Voxers, we're doing just that.

Update: We had to disqualify this excellent photo by Jay because the rules stated we'll only accept one submission per person. :-/ We're sorry for the confusion, and if you already voted in the first poll, please click through to the new poll to vote again.
One of the nicest things about Vox is how easy it is to view and share photos. Have you been spendingtime browsing and checking out photographs yet? There are lots of places to explore here if you are looking for a glimpse of some beautiful/cute/funny photos to brighten up your day!
When you are looking for photos on Vox, you can look to your Neighborhood or check out Explore > Photos or even browse some photography groups (tip: check out groups tagged "photography" as a start). Anywhere you see a thumbnail (a small version of any photo), click on it to see the bigger version where you can leave a [this is good] or nice comment for the person who posted it. You can also "View Full Size" on all uploaded photos to see a larger view. Learn more about what you'll see on a photo page in Introduction to the Published blog.
If you really like a picture you saw on one blog, you might like to check out all the recent photos by that Vox member. The navigation bar on all blogs has a Photos link to make it easy to do just that. This will show you a display of thumbnails with the newest at the top, and you can click through to any of them to see more. This works on the My Neighborhood and Groups pages, too, making it easy to see all of the recent photos from different sets of people you know!
When you see a really cool photo that you think all Voxers would enjoy, why not nominate it to be featured in the [this is good] area? Just click on the Suggest [this is good] link and paste in the URL of the photo you'd like to nominate.
Doesn't this make you want to add some of your own pictures? You've been inspired by other Vox members, so now grab those photos on your desktop and upload them to share. To find out more about adding photos, see Managing Photos which includes instructions for adding photos from outside sites like Flickr as well as other tips for uploading.
What is your favorite tip for finding cool pictures on Vox? Share them in the comments to inspire everyone to explore.

You've got about one day left to enter the "Show Us Summer" photo contest for your chance to win a Sanyo Xacti VPC-CA65 Digital Camera!
Show us what summer looks like to you. Look through your photo archives, or snap a photo before the contest ends tomorrow. Be sure to upload your photo to your Vox and tag it "summer 2007 photo contest" before the deadline of September 1, 2007 at 11:59:59 p.m. PDT!
We'll review the submissions to narrow them
down to ten finalists and then the Vox community will vote for
their favorite photo. The photo that gets the most Voxer votes will be the Grand Prize winner.
Read the contest announcement and the Official Rules & Regulations for all the details. And show us summer!
We've added some new partners to help you do cool stuff with your Vox:
- Smilebox offers fun ways to share your photos & videos. Create animated scrapbooks,
photobooks, slideshows, and postcards by choosing among their designs and music
and adding your own captions. Once you are done, email your creation or post it
to your Vox. Check out the Smilebox demo.
- QOOP turns your Vox photos into prints, posters, photobooks, calendars, postcards, mugs and more. You can even use their Blogprinting solution to turn your Vox into a book.
About that free* stuff I mentioned: QOOP's offering
every Voxer ten free
4"x6" prints of your favorite photos. Just head to the Vox landing page on QOOP and
click the top left box that says "Prints". (I tried out the process yesterday and found out that QOOP works best with photos of 150 dpi and above, but you should refer to their FAQs about Photo Prints and Images and Resolution for their official guidelines.)
When you're finished with your order,
enter in the coupon code "Vox10free" to get your free 4"x6" prints. *OK, when you add the cost of shipping they're not totally free, but it's just $2 to have them shipped via USPS.
All this talk of photos makes me sing this song by The Kinks.

Did you know that you can select multiple files in Vox for mass actions
like posting, deleting and adding to collections? Watch Mena's video demonstration from the Organize screen:
Note that you can only select multiple files on the page that
you're viewing. This means that if you select files from Page 1 and
then click through to Page 2, your Page 1 selections will be lost. You
can work around that issue by first filtering your assets by a tag.
For instance, if I want to post photos of Steve's chihuahua Rudy, I can first search on the tag "dogs" and then select the three photos of Rudy that I want to share.
We hope this helps!

Vox and Flickr have always played well together, but sharing your Flickr photos on Vox has just gotten easier.
Thanks to our friends on the Flickr team, you can now post photos to your Vox blog directly from your Flickr account!
It's simple to set it up. Just log in to your Flickr account and go to the page where you can add a blog. Enter in your Vox account email and password, confirm it and then you're all done.
While you're browsing your own photos on Flickr, just click the "Blog This" button above any photo and you'll be able to post it directly to your Vox blog. You should note that the photo will appear in the post with a link back to its page on Flickr, but the photo won't be imported into your Vox photo library.
You can still easily insert one of your Flickr photos right from the Vox Compose screen. Read our Knowledge Base article on Managing Photos for more info, and set up your Flickr account in Vox if you haven't already.
Did this inspire you to post some photos? If so, give us a link in the comments!
