Wanted: Vox Mobile Users

Comments

I love being able to grab something interesting and immediately slap it up to my Vox site for the world to see. If I wait until I get home, there is a good chance that I will forget all about it and never post about it.

I always hop over to my email immediately after I post a mobile entry to see what the reactions will be.

I would say that vox mobile is one of the big selling points of the product.
It would be nice if the new page works for the iPhone format, even though MobileSafari works fine with the regular page. EDGE connection isn't that fast...

It's great for capturing the immediacy of a gig or an event.

It pays to edit some of them down though. What looks great on a 2.5 inch phone screen doesn't always look as good on a 22 inch monitor....

The ability to post to Vox with my camera-phone has increased my posts to Vox.

Being able to easily post photos taken in the moment with the ability to specify who can view the content and where you want the content to go is a pretty awsome feature.

A mobile version of Vox could be like rich-version of Twitter. =)

Am I elligible as a Six Apart employee? =)
I probably do about half my posts (give or take) via mobloging (my iPhone, or previous cell phones). I started, on a different platform, by putting posts up to track major bike rides (see my "route tracking" tag for examples). I do tend to "clean up" posts on the computer after the fact.
I've been moblogging since 2002, and I love how easy Vox makes it. I enjoy sharing photos and thoughts in the moment. Most of the pictures on my Vox are from my cameraphone. After a while, you start seeing new things in everyday surroundings, and can share these flashes of inspiration instantly!

Most of my neighbors are used to my "LIVE from (fill in the blank)" posts that chronicle the adventures of my two boys and our excursions into the city. Moblogging is great because I'm able to share moments in our lives, LIVE with my friends and family instantly. I also love that I can write a post as soon as the inspiration hits me and sometimes that's in the middle of the night under the bedcovers! No going to power up the PC for me!!

Also, my otherwise grainy Sidekick photos come out GREAT when they're uploaded to my blog!

All I do is moblog on Vox. :) My pictures are taken on my Sony K790a 3 megapixel camera phone. I tend to blog what I am doing what I think is neat to see, something new I experience.

I moblog through email from my phone, though. I can't use Vox Mobile on my phone but it actually looks better than my Blogger Mobile which came with my phone. While I like the convience I'm much happier with blogging through email because I can post multiple pictures in one post.

I Vox from my phone to share food and silly hats... which I encounter often.

Now pretty please do me a favor and add a "Reply to comment" option on your mobile web interface. Unless it's already there and I'm just too blind to see it!
I post about 99% of all my posts using my Moto RAZR from Sprint. I do wish there was a J2ME application that would allow me to completely compose my post rather than send a pic via MMS.
I vox from my iPAQ mobile phone.
It is really very easy to vox thru mobile. I love that feature.
Most of the time I use emailing option and send it to vox. I am a great fan of this feature as I don't have to be sitting on the computer every time to post something.
Mobloggin rocks...Vox rocks...
The main reason I'm keeping my Vox account is for moblogging purposes, but I a) don't see that many interesting things in my day that I want to send an MMS about and b) don't like having to go in afterward and clean up the cruft created by the MMS process. And I don't have the kind of data plan that would let me create postings in a more "normal" fashion.

So, some day. Just not today.
Given the amount of blogging I do, I hardly have time to sit down and write a post anymore. However, if I got something I want to share with my friends and family, it's really easy to capture the moment right then and there and share it right away.

A Nokia device with Lifeblog or Online Share and Vox is a great moblogging combination.

I love getting to use Vox Mobile for many of my posts. Sometimes, that's all the blogging I have time for, truthfully! I remember what's happening in my life by going back and looking at my posts tagged "moblog" because it's a really nice capture of the things I really enjoyed. Sometimes, this just means self-portraits and pictures of super yummy food or deserts I ate. :) And getting to tag things and control privacy on the go is important to me, so that makes this even better! My fun secret - I got a cooler phone with a camera a year or so ago with the main reason being i wanted to be able to moblog with prettier pictures!

another 6a employee like Beau, but still, an active moblogger, so I thought I'd weigh in :)
Have you fixed it so I can log in from my blackberry yet?
I was a SplashBlog user and started with Vox once SplashBlog was shut down. I use the PalmOS Vox app to post from my Treo. I find it very convenient except you can't edit a post from the app. Fixing that would be great and I otherwise really like it for spur-of-the-moment blogging. I always go back and spruce things up from a PC but the mobile accessibility is a very good start.
I haven't tried to post to my Vox blog from my iPhone yet, but I would like to give it a try.

I have posted pics before but would love to start backup again. I use a Motorola Q which has good picture quality for a mid-level phone. Like others, I used SplashBlog and I happen to have other blog sites with pics, but using Vox from my phone is easy.

is there a possibilty that Vox mobile will be compatible with helio phones.

i would really love to blog more wen im on the go cause thats wen everything comes into my head. but right now i dun think Vox supports helio eh.

[das ist gut]

I started using Vox because a friend decided to switch to it when his previous mobile blogging site shut down. I wanted to leave a comment on one of his photos, and decided to try it out myself.

My blog is almost 100% posts from my camera phone, with either a very brief explanation or none. I very much enjoy this style of archiving my life. It's fundamentally different from writing longer journal entries or persuasive essays or carefully-crafted rants that have layers of complexity and nuance. The way I use vox has an informal, immediate, surreal-yet-straightforward, ethereal-yet-accessible feel. Blogging on vox is also much less filtered for me than my usual style of describing events, where I first take photos with a larger camera, then download them to the PC, edit them, cull them, write an essay, then include a very small number of photos to show particular points or achievements.

On vox, it's one shot, one send, one post. I like it and it works well. It was painless to set up and decorate, and everything seems as intuitive as one can possibly make a site and still have it be useful. Great job vox!

I use a screen reader and using Vox on the PC is often a challenge: edit boxes without labels, buttons that don't show up with buttons, etc. This edit box, for example, doesn't announce itself as the box in which to write my comment. Vox mobile, on the other hand, works so well with my xv6700 and the screen reader I use on it. It's a great alternative. I like reading a book and writing my reactions and posting them. I've posted pictures, too and that's straight forward. Please keep it simple!
I use my N95 to post images on my Vox, acualy its all i post on my vox :) a nice way to get the image out fast and easy.

I love the ability to post from my cell phone. I have been through all kinds of blog systems and this one actually works!
I did start to use the VOX Mobile application, but I'm now VOX posting using the Nokia Online Share Service v3.0. I like the fact I can post on the go and also when I'm back at my PC.
What I really want is the ability show my hyperlinks in the mobile website, as they show up a text at the moment.
