Videos on Vox
This just in, from the Team Vox engineers:
"We discovered that the quality of video playback has been suffering for the last month and a half. On investigation, it turns out that the software we use for turning the many formats of video by Vox members into web-playable video was modified somewhere around, well, a month and a half ago. We reverted that change this week, and video quality looks better than ever!
Over the next couple of weeks, we'll be re-encoding the videos encoded by the faulty software so that all of your videos look as good as they should. In the meantime, don't bother re-uploading your videos because that won't solve your quality issues until after we have a chance to re-encode."
Steve adds: "There is some mysterious, magical trickery - tomfoolery, even - happening behind-the-scenes that would prevent a re-uploaded video from appearing to be of higher quality. Brand-spanking new video, however, will appear to be awesome (lame content notwithstanding)."

THANK YOU for fixing it. you guys are on the ball, and that's just one of MANY reasons that you all are my favorite to use.
i'd love to be able to embed video from Vimeo or JumpCut on my Vox. I'd like to have those services added to the video tab in vox, or have a way to embed the HTML directly.
Other than that, I'm a happy Vox camper. Great work Team Vox!
Whoo! Hoo!
