The file labeled "._hp-banner-contest" won't open.

wow ...sounds like fun
The file is a .psd so you'll need Photoshop or something that's photoshop compatible to open it. I'll ask around to see if there we have any alternatives.
You can buy a lot of l00t for $1000. methinks i'd like a blackbird PC
There are two files in the zip folder. I'm using PS, one did open, the 2nd didn't.
Okay I'll ask someone to look at it. Thanks!

I couldn't get the site to load. :(

sounds neat tho

@HappyHacker I'm pretty sure the other file is some Mac OS X cruft with meta information about the photoshop file like folder settings. You can ignore it, the important thing is you can open and work with the Photoshop file.
Ahh okay. I was trying to open with other applications (other than PS).

Cool! A new theme contest! I was just thinking the other day about the Valentine's Day contest held last year.

Thank you, Team Vox, for the new themes. I especially like the Art Deco design. Out of curiosity, does the Team plan to turn the past two "Vox Talks" banners (via the February and March 2008 emails) into themes? They are very beautiful and would make wonderful themes.
A theme contest...hmmm im in :)

This is really great...and let me tell you I have really enjoyed posting for the contest....my creative juices have been woring overtime!!!!
Well, i just wondering is this contest open for the Non-us citizen? I've summitted my banner but i suddently wasn't sure about the rules. Thanks in advance!
Too bad I still can't search themes instead of having to wait till they all load.
Don't forget to send a postcard.
There were around 190 banners when I visited the site and yet there was only about 30 that could be viewed which made it impossible to vote for the best one. This seems very unfair to me and maybe leans to some kind of bias.
