The End of an Era on Vox
As you've noticed, we've been making a lot of changes to Vox during the past couple of months. These changes were all implemented to make sure you're getting the most out of your Vox experience... to ensure that Vox is truly a place where you can come to share your passions and your creativity.
Two of the features we originally implemented to inspire creativity recently came up in conversation. The Question of the Day and Vox Hunt have both been fixtures of Vox since the very beginning. As we sat around in meetings and discussed their role going forward, we marveled at your honesty answering questions like, "How many times have you had your heart broken?" and laughed at your willingness to "show us your worst school photo." Vox Hunt and the QotD have truly been an amazing and important part of Vox throughout our infancy.
However, in our lengthy discussions, we realized that we just no longer felt like the QotD or Vox Hunt were representative of the direction in which Vox is going. This was a difficult decision, and while it may seem abrupt, please trust us when we tell you it has been discussed extensively and all the pros and cons have been weighed and measured.
All of that being said, today will be the last day for both the QotD and Vox Hunt. So please do take the time to answer both and celebrate what was an amazing Vox tradition.
We've turned off the comments for this post as we'd like to collect all the feedback for this decision in one place. If you'd like to read more about this decision, or provide us with comments/feedback, please do so here.
We're going to miss the QotD and Vox Hunt as well, but we have some new ideas up our sleeve that we think you'll love even more. We hope you agree.
