Photoblog Directly from Your Digital Camera
How many great photos have you taken that were never seen by anyone but you?
We're guessing quite a few. Whether you just don't have the time to upload your photos to your computer and then post them to your blog, or are dissatisfied with the quality of your camera phone, there's never been a way to quickly and easily send great photographs straight to your blog.
Until now.
Using the Eye-Fi Wireless Memory Card, now any digital camera can send photos directly to your Vox blog.
You don't need a computer or a camera phone - just an Eye-Fi card and a Wi-Fi network. That's right: You can wirelessly post photos from home, work, the airport, a coffee shop... anywhere the Eye-Fi card can connect to a previously configured Wi-Fi network. Photos can even be transferred right as you're taking them! So, whatever you capture with your camera - whether it's a husband and wife's first kiss or an epic jump in the snowboard park - with the Eye-Fi card, you'll always be the first to share your photos and memories with your Vox neighborhood.
How Does It Work?
The Eye-Fi Card is a wireless card with 2 GB of memory and the built-in technology to send photos directly to both your computer and your Vox blog. The 2 GB of memory means you can store thousands of photos, while the built-in technology means you'll never forget to post another photo again. Plus, the Eye-Fi card also works with other photo sharing and printing sites like Flickr and Photobucket. Since Vox has conduits with both of those services, you'll never have to upload twice, or waste valuable storage space.

At Vox, we want to make it as easy as possible for you to blog whatever you want, whenever you want, from wherever you want. We really hope that by making the Eye-Fi Card available for Voxers, we're doing just that.

wow, that's quite possibly the coolest thing ever, except my camera takes a different kind of memory card. :(
and no wi-fi for me. :(
and $100 is kind of a lot :(
this would be great for when you go on vacation though. Don't have to wait till you get home to upload a billion and 3 pics to your computer.
When I recently purchased the eye-fi card (SD memory) I also purchased a Compact Flash adapter from the same company. I can use this method in my Nikon D3 Digital SLR and it works just fine. I usually have it setup to shoot both RAW format + Basic jpeg. The jpegs get uploaded only - by this card and this suits me just fine. I have tested the card in at least 3 different cameras... and have it setup for 2 wireless access points - at home and the office... and it works great. Kind of a novelty... and I don't use it all the time but it's great for VOX and Facebook snaps. It would be awesome for family or staff parties that you want to share right away.
As a follow up to my note about using Compact Flash - See:

DEEP thank you for the welcome!
