Meet the Team: Tiffany
Name:
Tiffany Chow (aka .tiff.)
Vox blog: http://tiffany.vox.com
Your role
in Team Vox: Graphic Design Intern/Theme-making
Machine
Your favorite contribution to Vox (something you made) and
why: Designing and illustrating some of the themes for Vox has been an
incredible opportunity for me this summer. I've had so much fun collaborating
with the Vox team members to come up with each idea, and developing each of the
themes has given me great experience as an aspiring graphic designer. If I had
to pick my favorite theme I'd choose the 'Urban' series (with 'Tree's in a close
second). [Editor's note: Tiffany's dogs series was both popular and dear to the hearts of many of the team members!]
Urban was the first theme idea that I individually developed
and additionally the theme that I felt a lot of people could enjoy. I was also
very thrilled to see that many Voxers responded happily to Urban when it was
released and used it on their personal blogs. It always makes me very pleased
to see that people are enjoying the designs I create.
Your
favorite Vox feature: I think the sense of community on Vox is the
thing that attracts me the most. I've never been a blogger before but Vox's
dynamic community gives me a reason to write about topics I'm interested in
because I have a direct sense that I'm sharing my voice with a neighborhood of
people who want to hear. I've had quite a few constructive in-blog
conversations with members about all sorts of things, and in turn its wonderful
to be able to go to their blogs and contribute to their posts as well. The
privacy options are also really great for sharing between close friends and
family and really open up the blogging community to a larger demographic (like,
my Mom who is starting a Vox account soon!) I look forward to see how these
communities develop as Vox grows.
We’re sad
that you’re leaving us, but we know you’ve got plans for the fall. Where are
you headed, and how will you stay involved in Vox? This fall I will be
finishing my last year at my college in New York as a double major in Studio Art
and Media Studies. This semester will be particularly busy as I will be taking
classes, developing my Senior Studio Art final project, and doing an internship
two days a week in New York City, but keeping busy has always been a habit of
mine so I think I'll be able to manage it all. Additionally, I will be working
part time for Team Vox during the school year, designing even more themes for
the Vox community to enjoy while keeping my very own blog alive and posting!

"urban" isn't just good, it is epic.
thank you to Tiffany for creating the Cityscape Washington DC theme I'm now using!
Don't suppose I could persuade you (or someone else after you go *sniff sniff*) to do Pittsburgh, PA, since that's where I'm moving there in a month? Probably not, but I figured it was worth asking. :)
