Coloring Contest Results
Man, oh, man, our Vox members are so creative and talented. All of us around Six Apart were amazed by the quality and variations of the coloring contest entries. In fact, since it was so difficult to only pick three winners out of the over 200 entries, we’ve expanded the number of people who’ve “placed” and had to call out a number of honorable mentions.
Cue drum roll…
First, the honorable mentions:
For getting the most smiles out of Six Apart staffers: Eloise, Feli, Jen
For getting the family involved and capturing the most darling photo: Mike and Raf
For making Bunnylicious look Emo and for cuteness overload: Jeannie, Kelsey, Angie
For just plain beauty: Firinel, Earth Mother, Teresa, Natalie
For getting out the scissors and glue: Julian, Sarah
For making Lemonade out of Lemons: Katra
For the little details: Sara, Alexis, Oleg

A tangential sidenote: Is it possible for certain users to disable the Google cache-ing feature? I don't want my Vox account to appear upon search for my screen name -- unfortunately, it has alreay done so! Any quick hacks to remove it forever from the evil of Google?

I entered two pictures but still don't have the invites promised.
Also, I wasn't aware that we were allowed to use some of the techniques that the winners and mentions used; this is my first coloring contest. The results were really beautiful and the themes imaginative. Hope to participate in another contest now that I know I can go "hog wild" on it.

I was going to post a comment here on the same thing ("where are my invites?"). Good to know the we haven't been left out or anything.
On a somewhat related note (Organize), exactly how long does it take for audio files to be processed/approved? I've uploaded some original songs of mine a couple days ago, yet they still won't turn up for listening.
The invites should have been deposited in your account as of a couple minutes ago. If you submitted an entry and are missing your invites, please let us know by filling a feedback request.
You can see your new invites on your Vox dashboard -- the orange box in the right column.

Did you check for peoples entries that were behind a filter post?
Because you didn't state the post had to be public and I'm guessing that users that didn't get their invites had their entries behind a filter post
nah... mine was public and I didn't get mine... (already submitted the feedback on it though)... with as many as there were I'm sure there were some that would be missed in the shuffle. I have faith though.
I didn't make a post with my entries, I just uploaded and tagged them as instructed. The rules didn't say anything about making a blog post, so I didn't. I send in a feedback request just now, so I hope this will be worked out soon.
Good catch. We only ran the script halfway to give accounts to people who tagged posts. We just updated that to include photos. Thanks for letting us know.
So does that mean the pictures reviewed by the judges were only ones that had accompanying blog posts? That's a little disappointing, to say the least. Ah well, we're all beta testers for reasons just such as this.

An oversight on my part. Thanks for the reassurance, and I did get the invites now. That only leaves my audio files to be processed, and I'll be a happy camper. I said this before and I say it again, looking forward to the next contest.
You should do one for the video peeps. Film a Vox commercial or something like that. If you don't have a cam then write a script or storyboard it. =)
A good Vox contest would be either to make a song about Vox or a short film where everyone only says "Vox". Just as long as there were no entries like "Vox. Apply directly to the forehead. Vox. Apply directly to the forehead."
