Announcing the "Show Us Summer" Photo Contest

We're very excited to announce the Vox "Show Us Summer" photo contest!  Show us what summer looks like to you.  Look through your photo archives, or snap a photo before the contest ends on September 1st. 

Here are some more guidelines:

• It must be an original photograph taken by you.
• You must successfully upload the photograph to your Vox account and tag it "summer 2007 photo contest".
• The photograph must not have been previously published in any media formats, online (excluding photos already uploaded to your Vox account) or in print.  The photograph must not have been a winner or honoree in any previous contests.
• Only one (1) Submission per Participant.
• The Submission must not be defamatory, offensive or obscene or violate or infringe on the trademark, copyright, publicity, privacy or other rights of any third party.

An esteemed panel of judges from Team Vox, including the lovely and talented Lilia who took the photo above, will review the submissions and narrow them down to ten finalists.  Then the Vox community will be able to vote for their favorite photo.  The photo that gets the most votes from the Vox community will be the Grand Prize winner.

What does the Grand Prize winner get?  A Sanyo Xacti VPC-CA65 Digital Camera. 
 

Some important things to note:  This contest is only open to U.S. residents (excluding Arizona, Puerto Rico and any other jurisdiction that may require a translation of the Official Rules) who are 18 years or older.  Read the Official Rules & Regulations for all the details.

We're only going to consider the first 1000 entries, so look through your archives, or get out and start shooting some photos.  Be sure to upload and tag them before the contest deadline of September 1, 2007 at 11:59:59 p.m. PST!
