Amazon Conduit Update

In my last Team Vox post, I let you know that we're aware that the Amazon conduit is broken and that we're working to fix it. Many of you want to know when it's going to be fixed and I'm so sorry I haven't gotten back to you about that sooner.

Unfortunately, I don't have an exact date to give you, but rest assured, the Amazon conduit will be fixed in the coming weeks.

In the meantime, I'm about to finish my latest book and I could use a few suggestions as to what to read next, so... if you don't mind, let me know in the comments what's on your nightstand and/or what book you think I absolutely must read next.

I heard that How To Fix The Amazon Book Conduit In Three Easy Steps by Gene Yuss is a real page-turner.

I would suggest the evergreen, classic, EGB by dr. Hofstadter

or even better, the next one: "Le Ton Beau de Marot", splendido veramente!

I don't know what you like but Labyrinth by Kate Mosse is about a woman who discovers a tomb on an archeological dig in the French Pyrannese and she begins to live a parallel life with the deceased girl, really cool if you like medieval stories and such.....

The Eight by Katherine Neville also tells of women living parallel lives, the characters are played as chess pieces. Really cool.

And a nonfiction must if you have a kitty - Your Cat.

The Hunger Games and its sequel Catching Fire by Suzanne Collins are amazing.

I really liked The Help, if you like Southern fiction.

Moonlight in Odessa (Janet Skeslien Charles) was fantastic.

If you like nonfiction (specifically books about books), Shelf Discovery by Lizzie Skurnick was great.

Why is Vox in such bad shape? Is it no longer financially viable to keep it going? Are we being phased out?

Vox is definitely not being phased out. You have nothing to worry about there... Not only does everyone at Six Apart love Vox, we all blog here as well. The amazon conduit is just a little trickier than expected to fix, but we're getting there.

I really liked The Piano Teacher by Janice Lee. And Widow of the South is one of my all time favorites.

I am about to start The Elegance of the Hedgehog, which was suggested to me. Perhaps you would like to check it too.

I hate those spambots with a vengeance. But before we get too upset at Vox, has anyone thought that the bug is on Amazon’s end, but Vox can’t point fingers at another firm? The fact it would take weeks sounds like the sort of thing that would happen at firms of Amazon’s size.
I also have had pretty good results emailing Vox about the spammers but since they appear here, I assume we won’t have to …

I know I am stumbling upon this late, but thanks for the update. Don't know what you're into, but The Glass Castle, Still Alice, The Shack and Rush Home Road are all good novels that I have read in the last year or so. I don't get much time to read with a 3 year old around.
